Call of Dity 2, grey screen?

when I try to run it with AAx4 it starts the screen and everything is grey, the crosshairs and my stance and stuff is still there, but the picture is grey. i can still move around and shoot, just cant see anything.

i'd reinstall/update video drivers, update the game, update windows, etc.

Yeah update everything palmman said to update.  But make sure that your videocard isn't overheating either.

Well I don't even have it installed anymore, and I have a new v-card. I was getting an itching for playing it again. Might install it soon.
