How far have you taken your c2d overclock?
«

i've heard reports of over 100% overclocks on the lower end... crazy stuff, with the bsel mod, etc... what have you guys done?
when i get another ~$100 i'll be able to finish my e2140 rig and try out bsel, it'd be crazy to get another 1ghz without touching the bios.

well i figured since i was so fanatical before i'd let y'all know how i'm doing here. i was stuck at ~365, which is about 2.9. not enough, not by a long shot. so i did a little research and found out my motherboard( p5k vanilla) vdroops like a bitch. a little pencil mod and i'm at where i am now, another 250mhz but still not happy since i'm not at 3.2, i'm at 3.16... 1.525vcore, it's more stable than it was at 3 before the pencil(30 min orthos so far) but i'm still pissed i can't get from 395 to 400. it won't boot into windows. i think i'm gonna have to do a lil bit more penciling to hopefully get to 400. and lower the vcore a lil, heh it heats up to almost 65 nowadays. atleast it only droops .16 instead of .5~.7 before...

i'd back off the volts on that e2180 if i was you, ~1.4 or lower would do you fine. all it's doing is heating it up, my e2140 is at 3.1ghz 1.375v perfectly stable.

Mine's at 3.3GHz stable right now from 3.16GHz. I'll push it to see how high i can get it later, not really feeling like it right now.
