Guitar Wizard: A Guitar Hero-like Guitar Tutor
« on: January 03, 2008, 07:15:19 PM »
Couldn't find a link for their site, but I read about it at BoingBoing. More there.

I think my sister'd like this; apparently she wants to learn how to play a guitar.

And it's here because I didn't know a better place for it.
PM me if you want my Google Talk and Skype info.

She has one, she just doesn't know how to play it yet.

Also, I see that someone didn't read the article over at the link thoroughly. If you had, you'd notice....

["Guitar Wizard"] will ship with a Washburn electric guitar with a MIDI pickup and will sell for around $180 on the back half of next year.

its a tab playing game?

do this:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alfred-Alfreds-Basic-Guitar-Method-Level-1-Book-DVD?sku=906741

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Alfred-Alfreds-Basic-Guitar-Method-Level-2-Book-CD?sku=906744

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/House-of-Blues-Learn-to-Play-Blues-Guitar-1-BookCDDVD?sku=946536

she can benefit from not having to learn tabs and learning music.

I consider myself a good guitarist and I can't read music, I only read tabs and learn songs by ear. A lot of musicians I know don't know how to read music, as well as many well-known professional musicians.

I am tab locked, I really can't learn music for the sole fact that I know tabs so well... but if you learn music, it makes learning every kind of music easier.
