I currently have SATA's, much faster then IDE, comparing to my old 7200rpm, 8mb buffer 120gb WD HD at least. Only think faster that i have had was my 15,00rpm 16mb buffer 16.8gb drive, that i had windows and my most demanding games on, but i sold it for the profit.

You can't even use the speeds of SATAII so i think its pointless, and you have to remember RPM's of drive is not the only thing that matters in speed, at all.
