On another note. I went to the doctor's today, the stand in for my family one, and she swabbed me for strep, on top of my flu...
I really really hope I don't have strep...

But they're so sure it's nothing to do with tonsils, either.

Wow. 

What a great past few months.

Ok so in October I'm in gym class and we're playing speedball.  I jump to catch the ball, somebody bumps me, i land angled on my right foot, kapow i snap the ACL, the MCL, and get nasty bone contusions on my femur.

Now of course the doctor doesn't know about the bone contusions without an MRI, which the insurance will not pay for immediately unless my leg is going the wrong direction.

So i'm on crutches for a few days then i just walk with a brace.

Then i go back in november because it's not healing, get the MRIs, and the doc sees the bone contusions.  Back on crutches.  Got off them a couple days after christmas.

Ok so I normally walk to school.  Because I'm a geek I have to go to school before it starts for early morning classes.  Therefore the crossing guards are not there yet.  (a lot of people walk.  more than those that are driven)  So i'm used to just running across the main street at rush hour.  Now of course Michelle, who I walk with in the morning (yes she's hot and yes she's single btw :)) always yells at me for running through traffic and dragging her behind me.

So because of the high number of accidents on this road and what is virtually a 7 way intersection with railroad tracks in the middle, they put in traffic lights over the break.

But I've been on crutches and getting a ride so i'm not used to crossing at the traffic lights.

So yesterday I'm walking home for the first time in a long time.  I go out to cross the road.  I carefully look left, right, left like i always do.  Step onto the snow on the side of the road and trip.  I get up, supposedly don't see anybody, and start to go across.  (my sister is behind me).  All of a sudden WHAM an F-350 hits me.  I don't remember the hit at all.  I only have one mental image of this huge pickup in my face as i turn around.  According to the driver, i bounced off of his truck onto the back of another truck in the other lane which was stopped at the light, then back onto the ground.  I was unconscious, and he apparently picked me up and carried me to the sidewalk and got a chair from a store there.  My sister is probably crying.  I really don't remember much at all.  Police come.  Mom comes.  Ambulance comes.  They take me away.  (the only memory i have from the ambulance is a nice picture of the ceiling inside)  At the hospital for a day...and basically it's a miracle that i'm in the shape that I am.  The doctor couldn't believe i was hit by a truck.  (oh and btw my sister was not hit...just barely grazed.  good thing i wasn't holding her hand)

So this is what i have:
Major concussion
Sprain of practically every ligament in my neck (basically from whiplash but in all directions not just forward/backward)  This means i get to wear a lovely neck brace
Bruised ribs
Major bruises all down my left side
Strained groin (wtf?  i don't know how that one happened)
And the knee I had injured before will almost positively need surgery now.  Back on crutches again

And to top it all off...

I'm getting a citation from the magistrate's office because i wasn't in the crosswalk.

(now before you all say i'm crazy...you don't know this road.  it used to be impossible to cross at any intersection because of the traffic flow, you would have to cross somewhere inbetween or you would get run over)

So this neck brace is incredibly annoying. 
I can't concentrate on anything for very long, and it's hard to read things like books with large amounts of text close together.  Doctor says this is normal concussion stuff and should go away within a few weeks
I am permitted to go back to school on monday, but my mom has said that it's ok for me to stay home for another week until we go back to the doctor at which point the neck brace would most likely come off.

But ya anyway...that's my life right now.  I was in a lot of pain til i took some oxycontin a little while ago.  Now i'm just a little wacky.  :)

Oh and also.  Our fiddle group has its biggest performance of the year in 9 days.  Nope i can't do it.  As well I will not be able to be in the orchestra and band concerts (violin and string bass, respectively) in 2 weeks or so.

ahh such fun

P.S. I have a sinus infection too.  And for the past two weeks or so i've been struggling with nerve problems and numbness/tingling in my fingers.  :D  I love life

I sat around all day yesterday being depressed today was my last day before I go back to school, and then finally decided I needed to accomplish something and was going to spend the rest of the day installing my other car speaker, and converting/fixing my air conditioning. I go outside angel the car so the door can open all the way, get the right drill bit to make the extra holes needed, and it starts raining. light at first, heavy within 5 whole minutes. I guess that means I have to do extra today :/

aww dont remind me. i hate school.
its hella fun right now. the west coast got hit with 3 major storm systems consecutively  and it has been pouring. all the backroads are flooded, it's great. This one road though got flooded over so bad that a river formed right over top of it. i was going down it in my jeep and i noticed the current was pretty strong. I engaged 4 wheel drive and kept going through. the water was about a half foot past the bottom of my doors, lol. it started to pull my car off the road so i gunned it and had to weave my jeep to the left of the road, get slid back to the right, turned to the left, got pushed back to right, etc. It scared the living crap out of my friend, lol. So yeah, i spent all day removing my carpet in my jeep and herculining (what they use for spray on bed liners) where the carpet was. So yeah, no carpet for me now, but its all good cuz i love this stuff. Easy to clean, doesnt mold.

I still remember when we had to put the first dog my family had to sleep. He was so old he could hardly move, we had to help him(I think him) to stand up after he sat down. Didn't have the strength to stand up on his own.
I wasn't there when we put him to sleep but I remember my dad telling me he did it. I didn't really understand fully at the time.
